Information Security Administrator

Job Summary An IT Security Administrator role is crucial for implementing and maintaining effective security controls aligned with organizational policy. The ideal candidate must have expertise in security principles, incident response, and threat intelligence to protect assets, mitigate threats, and ensure regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include maintaining security controls, managing incident response, and using threat intelligence. Reporting to the Director of IT Security Operations, this position enhances organizational security through collaborative teamwork. Key Responsibilities Deploy and Manage security solutions (Webfilters, IDS/IPS, Antivirus, Encryption, DLP, Firewall); and configure these security tools for incident monitoring and response. Conduct thorough analyses of security alerts generated by Security Operations Team (SOC), to precisely determine and prioritize security incidents. Manage and coordinate incident response protocols, including containment, eradication, and recovery stages including post-incident assessments and implement necessary remedial measures. Manage webfilter security solutions , analyze web traffic logs and apply security policies for threat prevention and URL filtering. Utilize PowerShell or batch files to automate processes and enhance operational efficiency. Identity Management using active directory (creation, disable, reset) and assist with self-service portal enrollment. Essential Skills Ability to work under high-pressure situations with strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of endpoint operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux) and basic scripting knowledge using powershell and batch files and HTTP/HTTPS, SSL interception, and certificate management. Hands-on experience in configuring endpoint security solutions like webfilter, Antivirus, EDR, Firewalls, DLP, VPN , Inrusion Prevention Systems. Ability to work with minimal levels of supervision Willingness to work in a job that involves 24/7 operations on a rotating shift including weekends. Preferred Qualifications Preferred to have a certification in any of the Computer Security domain. (CEH, CompTIA Security..etc. Familiarity with security frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or ISO 27001 is a plus. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the IT security industry Bachelors degree in IT and/or an equivalent University degree and/or an equivalent work experience in the relevant domain.
