Profile : Industrial Designer| Location: Panchkula | Experience: 2+years | Budget: 5LPA TO 12 LPA I Contact Sarika 9990725143 Job Title: Industrial Designer Brass, Kansa & Copper Cookware Department: Production Location: Barwala, Panchkula Reporting To: Production Head Job Type: Full-Time Experience Required: 02 years (Experience in traditional or metal-based cookware preferred) Job Summary We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Industrial Designer to conceptualize, develop, and enhance cookware products crafted from traditional Indian metals like Brass, Kansa, and Copper. The ideal candidate will merge aesthetic design with functional excellence, understanding heritage product sensibilities while aligning them with modern user needs and manufacturing feasibility. Key Responsibilities 1. Product Conceptualization & Design - Develop original concepts for cookware items using brass, kansa, and copper. - Create 2D sketches, CAD drawings, and 3D prototypes. - Balance form, function, ergonomics, and traditional aesthetics. 2. Material & Process Understanding - Understand the physical, chemical, and aesthetic properties of brass, copper, and kansa. - Collaborate with artisans and production teams to adapt designs for handcrafted and machine-based production. - Ensure feasibility and consistency across production batches. 3. Prototyping & Testing - Develop mock-ups and prototypes using rapid prototyping and manual fabrication. - Participate in product testing for usability, durability, heat retention, and finish quality. - Iterate designs based on test feedback and production constraints. 4. Trend & Market Research - Analyze consumer preferences and cookware trends in both domestic and international markets. - Study competitor products and generate insights for design differentiation. - Propose enhancements in features, usability, and packaging design. 5. Documentation & Handover - Maintain detailed design documentation, technical drawings, and specification sheets. - Support marketing with visual assets and product narratives. - Coordinate with sourcing and quality teams for vendor alignment. Key Skills Required - Proficiency in design software: Adobe Illustrator, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360. - Strong understanding of metal properties and cookware ergonomics. - Creative thinking with an eye for detailing and traditional aesthetics. - Familiarity with sustainable design and traditional Indian crafts. - Good communication skills and ability to work with multi-functional teams. Qualifications - Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or relevant discipline. - Experience in cookware, kitchenware, or heritage product design preferred. Additional Requirements - Passion for Indian traditional crafts and materials. - Ability to travel to manufacturing sites and work closely with craftsmen. - Willingness to adapt traditional design principles into modern, scalable solutions.
