Indirect Tax Senior Associate/Principal Associate

As an experienced professional in the field of Indirect Tax Advisory and Litigation, you will be responsible for utilizing your strong analytical skills to conduct in-depth research on Indirect Tax/GST databases. Your knowledge of case laws, along with a good understanding of regulatory updates and their impact on clients, will be crucial in providing effective guidance and support. It is essential to have a proficient command of English and excellent drafting skills to communicate complex legal concepts clearly. Your role will involve creating and sharing updates on the latest trends in the industry with your team. Additionally, your ability to conduct quick and thorough research to grasp the theoretical underpinnings of various laws and acts will be instrumental in your success. The ideal candidate for this position will have a proven track record in handling engagements related to Indirect Tax Laws, including Tax Restructuring, Tax Advisory, consulting, and appeals/writ petitions concerning Service Tax, VAT, Excise, Foreign Trade Policy, Octroi (State-specific) laws, Customs Law, and GST Legislation. You will also be involved in providing litigation-related services such as drafting opinions, replies to show cause notices, appeals, writ petitions, special leave petitions, and briefing counsels and senior counsels. To excel in this role, you should have 4-7 years of experience in Indirect Tax Advisory and Litigation, with a strong focus on GST laws. Your core expertise should include handling GST advisory and litigation matters effectively. A qualification in LLB/CA is required to demonstrate your legal acumen and expertise in the field.,
