The India Hub Software Lead leads, SiMD software development teams focused on medical device products, managing 1-2 global projects simultaneously. 
  The role involves building complex medical device products. This role involves building technical strategies, collaborating with technical architects, developers, and product leaders to set long-term strategic goals and drive innovation to maintain Bayer Radiology s market advantage. 
  
  
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
   -  Think big; bring fresh ideas and approaches to design and develop innovative solutions in medical devices to meet or exceed customer satisfaction and improve customer value 
-  Evaluate different design choices, prototype new technology, and implement technical solutions 
-  Understand business impact of design choices, and make technical trade-offs using sound engineering judgement 
-  Design high-quality, scalable architecture and code 
-  Provide guidance for technical design and architecture decisions within and across teams. 
-  Achieve understanding of software risk analysis and its impact on design and implementation of medical device 
-  Conduct design reviews, regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance product design, code quality and maintain best practices. 
-  Effectively evaluates and communicates broad technical issues to internal and external stakeholders. 
-  Evaluate existing applications to refactor, update and add new features. 
-  Anticipates foreseeable technical situations, analyzing, identifying problems, and directing technical resources. 
-  Consistently contributes to solving organization-wide problems including shared platforms, libraries, and frameworks. 
-  Lead and mentor a team of software developers, providing technical guidance and oversight. 
-  Identify opportunities to develop new and better solutions; Adopt engineering best practices around software development 
-  Participate in the evaluation and selection of modern technologies. 
-  Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team. 
-  Ensures the development initiatives of Bayer Radiology medical devices comply and adheres to Bayer Standard Operating Procedures that meet regulatory standards and guidance such as 
 -  FDA 21 CFR 820.30 Design Controls 
-  FDA Cybersecurity in Medical Devices 
-  IEC 62304 Software in a Medical Device 
 -  Radiology R&D Software Development Leadership Team regular collaboration with the Software leadership team on strategic initiatives and communication of high-level technical efforts 
-  Radiology R&D Devices co-development of the product plans and technical team membership 
-  Program Management Office co-development of the product plans and technical team membership 
-  Clinical Development and Medical Affairs ensuring that software products are clinically effective and approved by appropriately qualified medical experts. 
-  Product Supply regular interface to key sourcing, manufacturing, and quality personnel 
-  External partners, executive managers, cross-functional managers, and engineers 
-  Radiology Commercial Translate marketing needs into product concepts. 
-  Regulatory authorities, OEMs, External Auditors 
 
  
WHO YOU ARE:
   -  Bachelor s degree in computer engineering, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering 
-  Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in software engineering including all phases of SDLC 
-  Deep understanding of software development processes, software architecture, data structure and compliance in medical device software development. 
-  Expertise in programming languages and framework: C#, Angular, NodeJS and Python 
-  Proficiency on REST API, Microservices, Docker, YAML scripts 
-  Expertise in CI/CD pipeline for building static analysis, unit testing and integration testing 
-  Hands on NestJS framework or any Typescript, Javascript framework. 
-  Expertise in database technologies including SQL, MongoDB, NoSQL, PostgreSQL 
-  Familiarity with tools like GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, SonarQube, AWS, Rational Quality Manager, Windchill 
-  Working knowledge on OS such as Windows and Linux variants 
-  Demonstrated experience in balancing business needs and technical excellence. 
-  Proven experience in implementing consistent quality software development processes. 
-  Strong written communication, verbal communication, and decision-making skills. 
-  Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
