Incoming Quality - Assistant Manager

Job Title: Incoming Quality HVAC Industry

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and verify incoming materials, parts, and components against defined specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional checks using appropriate inspection tools (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.).
• Identify and segregate non-conforming materials and initiate rejection procedures (NCRs/DRs).
• Coordinate with suppliers for quality concerns, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
• Maintain records of inspection reports, test results, and incoming quality trends.
• Collaborate with the purchase and production departments to ensure timely material availability with required quality.
• Conduct audits of supplier processes and material certifications (PPAP, CoC, RoHS, etc.).
• Develop and improve incoming inspection procedures and quality checklists.
• Ensure adherence to ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001, or relevant HVAC industry quality standards.
• Support new product development and First Article Inspection (FAI) processes.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical components used in HVAC systems.
• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of inspection tools, measurement techniques, and sampling plans.
• Familiarity with quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.).
• Basic understanding of HVAC components (Compressors, Coils, Motors, Valves, etc.).
• Good communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering stream.
• Experience in Incoming Quality Inspection in the HVAC or allied manufacturing industry.
• HVAC industry experience is an added advantage
