Position Overview -
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Customs & Documentation Executive to manage end-to-end customs clearance and documentation processes for import and export shipments. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, maintain accurate documentation, and coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless cargo movement. This position plays a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency and legal compliance within international logistics.
Job Description -
- Stay updated on customs regulations and policies.
- Ensure compliance with local and international trade laws.
- Obtain an accurate checklist and verify all documents to avoid errors and compliance issues.
- Identify missing documents and potential issues related to customs regulations.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely customs documentation for import and export shipments.
- Prepare exemption documents for importation processes.
- Administer import procedures and related documentation.
- Manage customs documentation for clearing and forwarding.
- Coordinate with an accredited clearing agent for goods clearance at the destination.
-Liaise with the shipping company on consignment-related matters.
- Coordinate with port authorities for vessel handling requirements.
- Manage the movement of consignments to the final destination.
- Ensure proper storage of import documentation, such as certificates and customs bonds.
- Prepare and share daily progress reports with the reporting manager.
- Liaise with various stakeholders, including clients, Custom Authorities, Shipping Line, Ports / ICDs / CFS & Internal Divisions.
- Perform any other duties assigned by superior officers.
Requirement -
- Experience in customs clearance, documentation, and freight forwarding preferred.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and compliance with trade laws.
- Proficiency in preparing and managing import/export documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Multi-tasking ability and capability to handle work pressure.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-centric mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, internet navigation, and email etiquette.
- Adaptability to learn new processes and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
