Job Description SAP Basis Project Manager

(Cohesity + Scrum Specialist)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Project Manager with strong Cohesity backup

platform expertise (70%) and Project Management + Scrum/Agile skills (30%). The role involves

managing enterprise SAP Basis operations, leading Cohesity lifecycle activities, and driving

projects in Agile/Scrum environments.

Key Responsibilities

Cohesity (70%) Core Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Cohesity DataProtect for SAP landscapes.
• Configure clusters, policies, nodes, storage domains, and protection jobs.
• Perform and monitor backup, restore, replication, archival, and DR operations.
• Analyze and resolve Cohesity backup failures and performance issues.
• Execute Cohesity upgrades, patches, scalability planning, and platform maintenance.
• Integrate SAP environments (HANA, ECC, S/4HANA, BW) with Cohesity workflows.
• Maintain audit logs, compliance documentation, and reporting dashboards.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Storage, Network, and Cloud teams.

SAP Basis + Project Management (30%)

• Manage SAP Basis operations including performance tuning, system refreshes, user

administration, and transport management.

• Coordinate SAP upgrades, kernel updates, and support pack implementations.
• Lead SAP landscape stability initiatives and act as escalation point.

Scrum / Agile Responsibilities

• Lead Agile ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Manage product backlog, user stories, sprint goals, and delivery timelines.
• Track milestones, risks, dependencies, and project deliverables.
• Facilitate collaboration across SAP, Infra, Cloud, and business teams.
• Provide reporting using burndown charts, dashboards, and RAID logs.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Cohesity operations, troubleshooting, and DR.
• 6–10 years of SAP Basis experience across multiple SAP systems.
• Knowledge of HANA/AnyDB backup integrations.
• Understanding of Linux/UNIX, networking, storage, and cloud platforms.
• Agile/Scrum project management experience; Scrum Master certification preferred.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to lead teams in high-pressure environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• SAP Basis certification preferred.
• Cohesity Administrator certification is an advantage.
• Scrum Master certification highly desirable.
