Ignition SCADA

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Ignition SCADA Engineer / Lead to design, develop, and deploy advanced SCADA and IIoT solutions using Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in developing real-time data visualization, industrial connectivity, and automation system integration for manufacturing or process industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and configure Ignition SCADA projects including Perspective, Vision, and Reporting modules.
• Integrate Ignition with PLCs, OPC servers, MQTT brokers, databases, and cloud platforms.
• Create dynamic dashboards, alarms, and user interfaces for real-time monitoring and control.
• Develop and maintain tag databases, scripting (Python), and SQL-based data models.
• Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and deployment at customer sites.
• Work closely with automation, IT, and maintenance teams for system integration.
• Implement best practices for security, redundancy, and scalability in SCADA architecture.
• Mentor junior engineers and support project documentation and delivery.
• Manage client requirements, project timelines, and deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience with Inductive Automation Ignition (v8 or higher).
• Proficiency in Python scripting, SQL queries, and database integration.
• Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC-UA, MQTT, Ethernet/IP, etc.).
• Familiarity with PLC systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.).
• Experience with Industrial IoT, data logging, and analytics integration.
• Understanding of networking, firewalls, and SCADA system cybersecurity.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
