IDT - VAT-GST Compliance - TFO and Multi country - Manager

As a Manager for the EMEIA Tax Center at EY, your role will involve actively working on finalized deliverables on projects/services in the domain of Indirect Tax/VAT. You will be responsible for various key responsibilities including: - Being a central point of contact and liaising with international clients and colleagues regarding European VAT and VAT compliance. - Fully comprehending the scope of each client engagement to identify out-of-scope work for potential additional opportunities. - Capturing all out-of-scope work for clients and recording it on the Pipeline spreadsheet or directing it to the Process Owner. - Organizing and coordinating the client serving team during the resolution of any out-of-scope activities. - Monitoring the quality of indirect tax data and reports for clients. - Final review and sign-off of indirect tax returns. - Following up on legislative and business changes to ensure systems and processes are updated. - Acting as a point of contact for the process owner and client. - Proposing improvement possibilities to enhance work processes" effectiveness and efficiency. - Managing the completion of the full cycle for an indirect tax return. - Managing the set-up of new technology tools. - Updating engagement documentation and managing contractual agreements with local EY offices. - Identifying opportunities to bring to clients based on their footprint and issues. - Broadening internal networks within and across service lines. - Staying up to date on relevant changes in the international tax landscape and transferring knowledge to support colleagues" continuous development. To qualify for the role, you must have: - At least 6 years of relevant professional experience in European VAT and VAT compliance. - Fluent in English, both written and spoken. - Team player with project management skills. - Good knowledge of general VAT principles. - Excellent knowledge of ERP-systems. - Interest in working with multi-country clients. - Ability to work independently. - Dynamic, innovative, problem-solving focus with good communication skills. - Basic knowledge of other services like Direct Tax Compliance, Statutory Reporting, Bookkeeping, Corporate Secretarial, Service Management, Pricing, and Investment Products Tax. - Ability to detect potential opportunities for EY to assist and involve team members in client discussions. Additionally, having high-level knowledge and experience in local country Indirect Tax Compliance and thorough knowledge of Global Indirect Tax Compliance processes is ideal.
