ICU Staff Nurse

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care and Monitoring:
• Monitor and record vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, etc.) at regular intervals.
• Observe and report any changes in the patient’s condition to the attending physician immediately.
• Assist in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Medication and Treatment Administration:
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and injections as per doctor’s orders.
• Ensure correct dosage, route, and timing while administering drugs.
• Maintain infusion pumps, ventilators, and other ICU equipment.
• Equipment Handling:
• Operate and maintain ICU equipment such as ventilators, monitors, infusion pumps, defibrillators, and suction machines.
• Ensure all equipment is clean, calibrated, and functional before use.
• Report equipment malfunction immediately to the concerned authority.
• Infection Control and Safety:
• Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in patient areas.
• Follow all hospital safety procedures, including biomedical waste management.
• Communication and Coordination:
• Communicate effectively with doctors, colleagues, patients, and patient families.
• Participate in ICU rounds and update the medical team about patient conditions.
• Support relatives with updates under supervision and ensure empathetic communication.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate nursing notes, intake-output charts, and shift reports.
• Record all procedures, medications, and observations in the patient’s file.
• Report incidents, accidents, or errors as per hospital policy.
• Emergency Response:
• Respond promptly to emergency situations such as cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, or code blue situations.
• Assist in CPR and other life-saving procedures.
• Training and Development:
• Participate in continuous nursing education programs.
• Attend department meetings, case presentations, and workshops for skill enhancement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
