Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS) Developer with expertise in Rich Client Platform (RCP) and hands-on development experience. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills in Java, XML, UI technologies, Oracle Database, and Unix, and be capable of working on design, customization, and development of Sterling OMS solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement solutions in IBM Sterling OMS to meet business requirements.

Work on RCP (Rich Client Platform) customization and UI enhancements within Sterling OMS.

Perform Java-based customization and extensions for order processing, payment, fulfilment, and inventory modules

Develop and integrate XML-based APIs and services to support order management workflows.

Collaborate with business analysts and architects to translate functional requirements into technical designs.

Work with Oracle for database queries, performance tuning, and stored procedure development.

Deploy and manage applications on Unix environments; write and maintain shell scripts as needed.

Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and debugging for all developed components.

Provide production support and resolve technical issues within SLA timelines.

Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience:

5+ years of experience in IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS) development and customization.

Strong understanding of Sterling OMS architecture, configuration, and transaction flows.

Experience with RCP development and UI customization.

Proficiency in Core Java, JSP, Servlets, and XML.

Working knowledge of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and Unix/Linux commands.

Familiarity with UI technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS (preferred).

Good understanding of integration frameworks, APIs, and web services (SOAP/REST).

Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

IBM Sterling OMS Certification (preferred).

Experience in microservices integration or cloud-based OMS environments.

Familiarity with version control tools (Git, SVN) and CI/CD pipelines.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
