IBM CMOD developer

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:-

• System Administration & Management:
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining IBM CMOD in various environments (distributed, high availability).
• Managing production environments, including users, groups, and applications.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to CMOD.
• Optimizing system performance and ensuring scalability.

Data Management:-

• Migrating CMOD archive data across platforms and datacenters.
• Ensuring the security and integrity of data within the CMOD system.
• Developing and maintaining applications using CMOD.

Development & Scripting:-

• Developing scripts (Perl, Bash, Ansible) for automation and maintenance tasks.
• Writing runbooks for operational procedures.

Collaboration & Communication:-

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and implement solutions.
• Providing technical expertise and guidance to other team members.
• Participating in code reviews and promoting best practices.

Soft Skills:-

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong understanding of IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD).
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Bash, Ansible).
• Familiarity with database technologies.
• Knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, AIX).
• Experience with mainframe systems (helpful).
