HVAC & Ducting Engineer

Responsible for the design, planning, execution, and quality control of industrial HVAC and ducting systems. Ensures efficient system performance, compliance with engineering standards, and timely project completion through effective coordination with clients, consultants, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Execution & Supervision:
• Oversee installation of ducting systems, air handling units, and associated HVAC equipment at site.
• Supervise insulation, supports, dampers, diffusers, and grille installation as per design specifications.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards during fabrication and installation activities.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, and plumbing teams to ensure smooth integration of HVAC systems.

• Quality Assurance & Inspection:
  Conduct inspections of duct fabrication, installation, and alignment to meet SMACNA and ASHRAE standards.
• Verify material quality, duct thickness, and workmanship before and after installation.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection checklists, and test reports.

Project Planning & Coordination:

• Prepare project schedules, track progress, and update work plans to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate with vendors for timely material delivery and monitor manpower deployment.
• Attend coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve design and execution issues.

Testing & Commissioning:

• Participate in system testing, balancing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Ensure that installed systems meet performance, airflow, and temperature requirements.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of industrial HVAC and ducting design principles.
• Familiarity with SMACNA, ASHRAE, and IS standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and HVAC design software.
• Excellent project coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise teams and ensure quality workmanship at site.
