Job Description

1. Talent Acquisition & Recruitment Identifying and attracting skilled architects, designers, project managers, and support staff. Working with design leads to define roles, skills, and team compositions for specific projects. Coordinating internships and partnerships with architecture schools. 2. Onboarding & Orientation Introducing new hires to the company's culture, tools (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM software), and workflows. Ensuring a smooth integration into project teams. 3. Performance Management Implementing performance appraisal systems tailored to creative and technical roles. Helping managers set KPIs that reflect design quality, client satisfaction, and project deadlines. 4. Training & Development Organizing continuing education in software, sustainable design, BIM technologies, and code compliance. Encouraging staff to maintain architecture licenses and certifications (like LEED or AIA). 5. Workforce Planning & Resource Allocation Collaborating with project managers to allocate human resources to different design and construction phases. Managing workload balance to prevent burnout, common in deadline-heavy environments. 6. Employee Engagement & Retention Fostering a collaborative and inclusive work culture that supports creativity and innovation. Recognizing and rewarding design excellence and teamwork. 7. Policy & Compliance Ensuring the firm complies with labor laws, health and safety regulations (especially important on-site), and professional standards. Managing contracts, non-compete clauses, and IP/confidentiality agreements. 8. Conflict Resolution & Support Mediating conflicts within project teams or between employees and management. Providing support for work-life balance, mental health, and career development. 9. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Promoting a diverse workplace, particularly in a field that has historically lacked representation. Creating initiatives to ensure inclusive design practices and equal opportunities. 10. Strategic HR Planning Advising leadership on HR trends and strategies that align with the firm's vision. Supporting expansion plans, mergers, or new office setups through HR infrastructure planning.
