As an HPLC Chemist working at the Pharmaceutical Testing Laboratory in Barasat, Kolkata, your primary responsibility will be to conduct HPLC analysis of pharmaceutical samples, including APIs, raw materials, and finished dosage forms. You will be tasked with performing assays, related substances testing, impurity profiling, dissolution studies, and stability studies. It is essential to adhere to pharmacopeial methods and laboratory procedures for routine testing, interpret chromatographic data accurately, and prepare detailed test records, calculations, and analytical reports. Additionally, you will support method verification, method transfer, and troubleshoot basic issues while maintaining comprehensive laboratory documentation and instrument records. Coordination with supervisors for timely sample analysis and reporting is also a key aspect of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Perform HPLC analysis of pharmaceutical samples such as APIs, raw materials, and finished dosage forms. - Conduct assays, related substances testing, impurity profiling, dissolution studies, and stability studies. - Adhere to pharmacopeial methods and laboratory procedures for routine testing. - Interpret chromatographic data accurately to ensure result precision. - Prepare detailed test records, calculations, and analytical reports. - Support method verification, method transfer, and basic troubleshooting. - Maintain comprehensive laboratory documentation and instrument records. - Coordinate with supervisors for timely sample analysis and reporting. Qualification Required: - M.Sc. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or equivalent. In this role, practical experience in HPLC analysis of pharmaceutical samples, a good understanding of chromatographic principles and separation techniques, and familiarity with IP, USP, BP, or EP methods are essential. You should be capable of independently managing routine HPLC workloads with good documentation and analytical discipline. Preferred Profile: - Experience in a pharmaceutical testing or QC laboratory. - Exposure to stability studies and dissolution testing is an advantage. Please note that candidates without hands-on pharmaceutical HPLC experience may not be suitable for this position. This is a full-time job with a flexible schedule. Experience of at least 2 years in practical HPLC analysis in the pharmaceutical industry is required. The work location is in person.
