HPC Engineer

Graviton is a privately funded quantitative trading firm that is dedicated to achieving excellence in financial markets research. We are currently looking for an HPC Engineer to join our team in Gurgaon. At Graviton, we engage in trading across various asset classes and trading venues by employing a wide array of concepts and techniques such as time series analysis, filtering, classification, stochastic models, and pattern recognition. Through the analysis of terabytes of data, we aim to develop innovative ideas to identify pricing anomalies in financial markets. As an HPC Engineer at Graviton, your responsibilities will include having a strong background in High-Performance Computing, particularly in deploying High-Performance Clusters. You should also possess experience with cluster management tools and have exposure to multiprocessor and multithreading concepts. Additionally, familiarity with Operating Systems, especially Linux, is required. Other responsibilities will involve testing, user support, troubleshooting, and real-time analysis of issues. The ideal candidate for this role will have 2-3 years of experience and hold a degree in EE/CS/CSE. However, bachelor's graduates will also be considered if they have an exceptional background and prior experience in the HPC field. Proficiency in programming skills in Python/Bash, a good understanding of the Linux operating system at the user level, and experience with large-scale distributed HPC systems are essential qualifications. Knowledge of large-scale batch processing systems like PBS Pro, Torque, or Slurm, as well as familiarity with HPC system monitoring and automation tools, is preferred.
