Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department to ensure clean, orderly, and safe environments for guests and staff. This role includes supervising staff, inspecting rooms and public areas, managing inventory, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to ensure high-quality cleaning and guest satisfaction.

Assign daily tasks and schedules to room attendants, cleaners, and other housekeeping team members.

Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.

Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and assist in employee evaluations and disciplinary actions when needed.

Ensure timely turnaround of guest rooms and respond promptly to guest requests or complaints.

Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; place orders as needed to ensure availability.

Enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards in accordance with company policies and local regulations.

Coordinate with front office, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Assist with onboarding new staff and provide ongoing training on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and company policies.

Prepare reports on occupancy status, employee schedules, and supply usage.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in hospitality or housekeeping management are a plus.

Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably in a supervisory role.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Ability to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure, and resolve conflicts effectively.

Basic computer skills for scheduling, reporting, and inventory management.

Physical ability to perform housekeeping duties when necessary (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods).

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
