Housekeeping Supervisor (Hospital experienced required)

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all housekeeping activities in the hospital to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors in accordance with infection control and hospital standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily cleaning and maintenance activities across all hospital areas (wards, OPD, OT, ICUs, waiting areas, washrooms, etc.).
• Prepare and maintain duty rosters, shift schedules, and work assignments for housekeeping staff.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, waste segregation, and hospital hygiene protocols.
• Inspect patient rooms, operation theatres, and public areas regularly to ensure cleanliness and upkeep.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning materials, linen, and housekeeping equipment; raise requisitions as required.
• Train and guide housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety measures, and behavior standards.
• Coordinate with Nursing, Maintenance, and Administration departments for smooth operations.
• Handle patient/staff complaints regarding housekeeping and resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure proper disposal of biomedical and general waste as per hospital guidelines.
• Maintain records of attendance, material usage, and inspection checklists.
• Monitor pest control and fumigation schedules.
• Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the concerned department immediately.
