Job Summary: The housekeeping staff plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitary environment within a designated facility. They are responsible for performing a variety of cleaning duties to ensure the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the premises. Housekeeping staff contribute to creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for residents, guests, or employees. Responsibilities: Room Cleaning: Clean and sanitize rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to established standards. Make beds, change linens, and ensure all amenities are in place. Surface Cleaning: Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces. Clean and sanitize high-touch areas, such as doorknobs and light switches. Floor Maintenance: Vacuum carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture. Sweep and mop floors using appropriate cleaning methods and materials. Waste Management: Empty and dispose of waste bins and recyclables. Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials following safety protocols. Restocking Supplies: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and amenities as needed. Report any low stock levels to the supervisor. Laundry Duties: Collect, sort, and launder linens and towels. Fold and organize clean laundry for distribution. Reporting and Communication: Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to the supervisor. Communicate effectively with other staff members and supervisors. Adherence to Health and Safety Guidelines: Follow established health and safety procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment. Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment and tools. Customer Service: Provide friendly and courteous service to residents, guests, or employees. Respond promptly to requests for additional cleaning or special requests. Qualifications: Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
