Job Description

The Hospital Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the hospital. The role ensures smooth patient services, regulatory compliance, resource optimization, and collaboration across clinical and non-clinical teams to deliver high-quality healthcare outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Supervise day-to-day hospital operations across departments (in-patient, out-patient, diagnostics, pharmacy, emergency, etc.).
  • Ensure effective patient flow and service delivery.
  • Monitor hospital facilities and equipment for availability, safety, and compliance.

People & Process Management

  • Lead and coordinate with clinical and non-clinical staff to maintain operational excellence.
  • Develop and implement SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for efficiency.
  • Provide training and support to staff on hospital protocols and patient care standards.

Financial & Resource Management

  • Assist in budgeting, cost control, and revenue cycle management.
  • Optimize resource utilization (beds, manpower, equipment, supplies).
  • Monitor vendor contracts and procurement processes.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, accreditation standards (e.g., NABH, JCI), and hospital policies.
  • Oversee audits, safety drills, and quality control initiatives.
  • Drive patient satisfaction programs and grievance redressal.

Strategic Initiatives

  • Support hospital leadership in planning expansions, technology adoption, and new service lines.
  • Analyse data and prepare operational performance reports.
  • Implement digital transformation for patient care and hospital management systems.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation requirements.
  • Proficiency in hospital information systems (HIS/EMR).
  • Analytical ability to optimize operations and drive efficiency.
  • Customer-service orientation with patient-centric mindset.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in hospital operations, healthcare administration, or related management roles.
  • Experience with NABH/JCI accreditation preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare IT systems is an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
