As a Horticulture Plantation Manager, you will be responsible for the following: - Undertaking plantations and maintenance of various Horticulture species. - Preparing a calendar of operations for all plantations in your designated areas and ensuring approval from the Head of Department. - Developing a scope of work for the maintenance of plantations in consultation with the Head of Department. - Creating budget estimates and timely submission of input requirements for procurement. - Monitoring and implementing timely control measures for diseases and pests in your area. - Maintaining drip irrigation systems efficiently. - Conducting research and development trials on various inputs. - Harvesting and disposing of the produce as per requirements. - Maintaining prescribed records and submitting Management Information System reports. - Ensuring the safety of plantations, produce, installations, and contractors" manpower. Qualification Required: - MSc in Horticulture or M.Sc. in Agriculture with a minimum of 10 years of experience in managing Horticulture plantations. OR - B.Sc. in Horticulture or Agriculture with a minimum of 15 years of experience in managing Horticulture plantations. In addition to the qualifications, you should possess the following skills and competencies: - Knowledge and experience in the latest trends in Horticulture. - Proficiency in computer operations with working knowledge of CAD software. - Excellent communication skills. - Strong leadership qualities.
