Job Summary

The Home Nurse cum Care Assistant provides basic nursing care and personal assistance to patients in a de-addiction Centre under the guidance of healthcare professionals. The role focuses on ensuring patient comfort, safety, hygiene, and adherence to prescribed care routines, while offering compassionate and reliable support on a temporary, daily-wage basis.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility.
• Support patients in maintaining personal hygiene and a clean living environment.
• Help with positioning, transferring, and basic mobility exercises as advised.

Basic Nursing Support

• Assist with monitoring vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, if trained.
• Support medication schedules as instructed by the nurse, doctor, or family (without administering injections unless qualified).
• Observe and report changes in the patient’s condition to the supervising authority or family members.

Safety & Support

• Ensure patient safety and prevent falls or injuries.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to the patient.
• Maintain a calm, respectful, and patient-centered approach at all times.

Personal Qualities

• Compassionate, patient, and trustworthy.
• Physically fit and capable of assisting with patient mobility.
• Emotionally stable and able to handle caregiving responsibilities responsibly.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Basic training or experience in home nursing, patient care, or caregiving preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Knowledge of basic hygiene and patient care practices.
• Willingness to work on a daily-wage, temporary basis as required.
