Home Collection Phlebotomist

As a Home Collection Phlebotomist, your primary responsibility will involve collecting blood samples from patients in the comfort of their homes. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that samples are collected accurately and transported in a timely manner. Your day-to-day tasks will include scheduling and coordinating home visits, utilizing a vacutainer needle for venipuncture, and prioritizing patient comfort throughout the collection process. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing sample orders, traveling to different locations for home visits, and effectively communicating necessary precautions and test details to customers. It is essential that you are proficient in vacutainer collection techniques and have hands-on experience in sample collection and handling. Proper disposal of biomedical waste as per guidelines, accurate recording and identification of samples, and timely handover of samples to the laboratory are also key aspects of this role. Furthermore, you will be expected to carry out any additional tasks as assigned by your supervisors. To qualify for this position, you must hold a degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT, BMLT, CMLT) to ensure that you meet the necessary educational requirements for the role.,
