HMI / RTU Engineer

Role Overview: The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is seeking a Technical Project Engineer to join their team in Chennai. As part of the largest engineering hub, you will be responsible for designing and verifying HMI and SCADA applications for various projects. Your role will also involve supporting the design of communication networks, ensuring quality processes, and providing commissioning support. You will be expected to take ownership of project KPIs, participate in project documentation, and engage in customer meetings while upholding Hitachi Energy's core values. Key Responsibilities: - Design and verify the HMI application for various FACTS projects - Design and verify SCADA/GWS application for various projects - Support the design of communication networks by preparing related documents and implementing them - Demonstrate knowledge of quality processes related to project execution and continuous improvement programs - Provide commissioning support for HMI/SCADA site testing - Take ownership of project KPIs such as OTD, COPQ, etc. - Participate in design and testing, Factory Verification, Customer Factory Acceptance Test - Engage in project documentation and customer meetings Qualifications Required: - BE/BTech (ECE, EEE, E&I) - 5+ years of operating experience in industrial control systems or SAS, Micro SCADA - Experience in designing HMI for industrial applications using InTouch or equivalent software - Good working knowledge of HMI animation concepts and logics - Good knowledge of communication protocols for SCADA/network - Prior experience in SAS is preferred - Experience in Process and ISO audits (Note: The Mission Statement and Background sections have been omitted as they were not directly related to the role overview and key responsibilities),
