HMI / RTU Engineer

The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers focusing on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision, and commissioning. Over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub and a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The team at the India Operations Centre in Chennai supports Hitachi Energy's units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all four business units in the Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries. Technical Project Engineering at Hitachi Energy focuses on various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, chemical, civil, structural, automation, and software engineering. Project engineering activities include discipline engineering and design, planning, risk assessments, and coordination of resources (personnel and equipment). Your responsibilities include designing and verifying the HMI application for various FACTS projects, designing and verifying SCADA/GWS applications for various projects, supporting the design of communication networks by preparing related documents and assisting with implementation, knowledge of quality processes related to project execution and continuous improvement programs, exposure in commissioning support for HMI/SCADA site testing, taking ownership of project KPIs such as OTD, COPQ, designing and testing, Factory Verification, Customer Factory Acceptance Test, Project Documentation, Customer meetings, and embodying Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity. Your background should ideally include a BE/BTech degree in ECE, EEE, E&I, with 5+ years of operating experience in industrial control systems or SAS, Micro SCADA. Experience in designing HMI for industrial applications using InTouch or equivalent software, good working knowledge of HMI animation concepts and logics, good knowledge of communication protocols for SCADA/network, prior experience in SAS preferred, and experience in Process and ISO audits.,
