Role Summary

The Plant Head will lead overall plant operations for Aerospace Division, ensuring high-precision manufacturing, operational excellence, safety compliance, and on-time delivery for aerospace components. The role requires strong expertise in aerospace manufacturing standards, people leadership, and end-to-end plant management.

Department: Aerospace Manufacturing Division & Team Size 5 Members Location: Bangalore – Bommasandra Reports to COO (Aerospace)

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations & Production Management

• Lead complete plant operations including production, quality, maintenance, planning, and supply chain.
• Ensure adherence to aerospace manufacturing standards (AS9100, NADCAP, etc.).
• Drive high-precision machining, fabrication, and component assembly processes for aerospace customers.
• Monitor daily production targets and ensure OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery.

2. Quality, Compliance & Certifications

• Ensure strict compliance with aerospace quality systems and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain certifications such as AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP (Heat Treatment, NDT, Surface Treatment).
• Drive zero-defect manufacturing culture through strong quality controls.

3. Cost, Budget & P&L Management

• Manage plant P&L, operational budgets, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Improve productivity through lean manufacturing, Kaizen, TPM, and continuous improvement.
• Reduce waste, scrap, and cost of poor quality.

4. Safety, EHS & Risk Management

• Drive world-class safety standards with strict adherence to EHS guidelines.
• Implement risk mitigation plans, audits, and workplace safety training.

5. People Leadership & Team Development

• Lead a multidisciplinary team across production, engineering, QA, SCM, and admin.
• Set KPIs, develop talent, and create a culture of accountability and performance.
• Build capability for advanced aerospace manufacturing processes.

6. Strategic Planning & Customer Engagement

• Align plant strategy with business goals and customer expectations.
• Interact with global aerospace customers (OEM/Tier-1) on technical and delivery requirements.
• Support new product development, process improvements, and capacity expansion projects.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in aerospace components manufacturing (machining, heat treatment, forging, casting, composites, or precision assemblies).
• Excellent leadership, decision-making and team-building skills.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, 5S, and automation technologies.
• Ability to manage complex operations with high quality and safety standards.
• Strong analytical, planning and stakeholder management skills.
