Job Summary Network Security Engineer to help design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring security threats, configuring firewalls, ensuring compliance with security policies, and responding to cyber incidents. This role requires a strong understanding of network security principles, threat mitigation techniques, and security tools to protect the organization from cyber threats. Education & Experience Education: Graduation with additional certificate N+ and CCNA/ CCNP/ CCNE / Cyber security. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Network security experience. Main Responsibilities 1. Network Support & Management Basic Network Setup & Configuration Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. Set up LAN, WAN, VLANs, and VPNs for secure connectivity. Configure IP addressing, subnetting settings. Maintain backup configurations for routers, switches, and firewalls. Develop and test failover and redundancy plans. ISP monitoring and preventing downtime 2. Network Security & Access Control Install, configure, and maintain firewalls (Palo Alto, etc.). Define access control lists (ACLs), security policies, and rule sets to control network traffic. Implement zone-based security policies to segment internal, external, and DMZ traffic. Configure NAT (Network Address Translation), VPNs, and proxy settings. Conduct periodic security audits and risk assessments. Document firewall policies, change logs, and security incidents. Enforce multi-factor authentication (MFA) and role-based access control (RBAC). Monitor VPN usage and detect unauthorized access attempts. 3. Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting Monitor network performance, bandwidth usage, and traffic patterns. Use tools like Opmanager, Aruba CPPM network monitoring. Troubleshoot connectivity issues, slow performance, and downtime. 4. Desktop Support & Administration (L2/L3 IT Support Responsibilities) Resolve escalated hardware, software, and network issues from Helpdesk ticket.
