Hiring For Design Engineering Manager_Automobile Client

Responsibilities:

•  Support BU key Account Management Strategy and cooperate team to define, develop and deliver with good quality and aligned timeline and costs.
•  Strictly control technical risk and guarantee good quality from design, material selection, assembling point of views by following APQP process and full FEMA analysis.
•  Keep high efficiency and evaluate project performance, proactively integrate into Engineering team (APAC & Global) and local sale/operation team.
•  Prioritize projects and opportunities for engineering investment based on growth & product strategy of Transportation business.
•  Cooperate with Noida factory to successful release NPD projects with good quality and aligned timeline and costs.
•  Manage Engineering Change as per group Engineering processes & ensure no liability arises technically and commercially out of Engineering Change.
•  Drive VAVE project for released product but Control risk caused by Change at the same time.
•  Develop competitive supplier with sourcing team to support NPD project success and BU business growth.
•  Work collaboratively with manufacturing & production team to support on getting right inputs for cycle time and capex proposal for best returns on investment and optimum costs.

Technical Understanding:

•  Possesses general understanding of Mechanical Design, 3D Cad, FEA/CFD, DFMEA, DVP.
•  Knowledge of MS Project.
•  Knowledge of Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault professional. CAD, CAM and 3D CAD programs.
•  Knowledge of GD & T.
•  Knowledge of CV standards 1) IEC60068-2-30 Damp heat cycle 2) IEC60068-2-64 Random Vibration 3) EN60068-2-6 Sinusoidal vibration 4) EN60068-2-27 Mechanical Shock 5) EN60068-2-30 Damp heat cycle 6) EN60068-2-52 or ISO9227 SST 7) ISO16750 related to electric components 8) SAE J 2494-3 CV fitting standards
  Knowledge of standards set forth by UL, CSA, OSHA, ASTM, ASME, EMC, NFPA, NSDA, NEMA, and a thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes, design requirements, cost analysis, and manufacturing equipment as well as products made by NORGREN and its competitors;
•  Knowledge of Pneumatics, Electric automation components like, Cylinder, valve, filters, Lubricators, regulator, Motor, PLC, VFD etc. Added experience in Electronics/PCBs/ISO 26262 would be an added advantage.
•  Must have min 5 years experience in Mobility Industries
•  Knowledge of material like Aluminum, plastic -PPA/PPS, Sealing, SS MS etc.

Requirement:

•  A university bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HND, or the Indian equivalent from a recognized engineering university; master’s degree is preferred;
•  At least 10 years of general engineering experience is required as new product design (from zero to one , some expericne in tool design, manufacturing methodology is helpful but not must ). fundamental engineering principals including pneumatics, statics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, basic electronics, thermo dynamics, and material properties;
•  Must have lead and delivered 3 successful project to CV customers (TML, AL, Volvo Eicher, Daimler, Cummins etc.).
•  At least 3 years as design manager role for more than 10 new product development design team in international company or joint venture.
•  Experienced in APQP including FMEA and Control Plans Problem Solving, time management, prioritization, and awareness of business and finance implications;
•  Base on application and design principe to define testing matrix and implement develop actitives such as design/calculaiton/simulation/ assembling physical prototypes and direct full vadidation.
•  Have enthusiasm for the latest advancements in technology, design and engineering best practices.
•  Visualization, innovation, initiative, professionalism, integrity, and the ability to work in a team environment;
•  General office and PC skills including Microsoft Office applications, organization, filing, etc.
•  Proficient in verbal and written English is a must; • Ability to train overseas, including within the EMEA/USE/CN

Business Development Contribution:

•  Helps in identifying new product development opportunities while discussing ongoing projects with customers • Leads proposal efforts including completing project scoping, timelines, and opportunities assessments. • Effectively conveys our message in both written and verbal business development discussions.

Communication:

•  Facilitates team and client meetings effectively to build confidence on solution • Holds regular status meetings with project & Sales team to improve vitality index. • Keeps project team well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news. • Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors. • Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations. • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion. • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
