Job Summary: The Material Management Engineer is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of warehouse operations, material handling, and inventory control. This role ensures timely availability of materials, efficient storage and retrieval processes, and adherence to safety, quality, and cost-efficiency standards. The Engineer also leads continuous improvement initiatives and supports digital transformation efforts within the warehouse and material management functions. Key Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and oversee day-to-day warehouse and material handling activities. Ensure accurate inventory management and stock storage, issue and scrap Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., lean warehousing, 5S, kaizen). Collaborate with procurement, production, and assembly teams to ensure timely material issues & recipts and ensure smooth operations. Evaluate storage layout and optimize warehouse space utilization and material flow. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations. Train and support warehouse staff in process adherence and technical skills. Lead or participate in audits, cycle counts, and root cause analysis for discrepancies. Support automation, digitization, and Industry 4.0 initiatives where applicable. Lead the lean initiative from MM front Need to perform stock related activities from ERP . Qualifications & Skill: Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations and materials management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of immaterial management systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Odoo). Hands-on experience with lean tools and process optimization. Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and data analysis tools.
