We are building the most seamless and accessible blockchain-based carbon marketplace, enabling individuals and businesses to buy, sell, and retire verified carbon and renewable energy credits—like I-RECs—transparently and efficiently. Our mission is to unlock climate finance and accelerate the transition to a low-carbon future. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and driven I-REC Project Developer to lead the registration, management, and trading of multiple I-REC projects. You will work closely with renewable energy project owners, Evident (issuer of the I-REC Standard), and Hestiya’s internal tech and trading teams to ensure smooth onboarding, compliance, and monetization of green electricity certificates via our marketplace. Key Responsibilities Project Identification & Development Source and assess renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro, biomass) for I-REC eligibility. Engage Independent Power Producers (IPPs), utilities, and corporate producers to onboard viable projects. Collect and analyze project technical data, energy production records, and ownership documentation. I-REC Registration & Compliance Prepare and submit registration documents as per I-REC and Evident’s guidelines. Act as the primary liaison with Evident and its Issuers to ensure timely registration, issuance, and reporting. Maintain accurate records for project lifecycles and support verification and audits when required. Portfolio Management & Trading Manage a growing portfolio of I-REC projects through their issuance and retirement cycles. Monitor project performance, generation claims, and credit issuance timelines. Coordinate I-REC listing, trading (including P2P and bid-based), and retirement on Hestiya’s marketplace. Platform Integration & Reporting Ensure seamless integration of I-REC data into the Hestiya registry and marketplace. Work with the product and engineering teams to build APIs and dashboards for real-time inventory tracking. Provide detailed reporting to project developers, buyers, and compliance entities. Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain relationships with project owners, verification bodies, and registry representatives. Respond to buyer queries related to project traceability and certificate legitimacy. Help shape Hestiya’s internal processes for I-REC workflow efficiency and transparency. Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related discipline. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in renewable energy or carbon market project development. Direct experience working with Evident—including using the Evident Registry, preparing project documentation, and coordinating with Issuers and Market Facilitators. Track record of managing multiple I-REC or equivalent energy attribute projects. Skills: Deep understanding of I-REC and other EAC (Energy Attribute Certificate) frameworks. Role Overview: As a Sales & Operations Associate, you will be the backbone of our day-to-day business activities. You’ll support the co-founders by managing operational tasks, handling investor and client communications, and driving global sales for carbon credits and renewable energy certificates (RECs). This is a high-impact role with the opportunity to grow as Hestiya scales.
