Job Description: As a Heavy Truck Driver at our company, your role is vital in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials to various locations. Key Responsibilities: - Operate and drive heavy trucks to transport goods while ensuring timely and safe delivery. - Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the truck before and after trips. - Adhere to traffic rules, safety regulations, and company policies for a secure transportation process. - Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery records, and mileage reports. - Report mechanical issues promptly and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs. - Load and unload cargo efficiently, keeping the vehicle clean and well-maintained. Qualifications Required: - Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License (HMV/Commercial License) is mandatory. - Proven experience as a heavy truck driver is preferred. - Familiarity with GPS devices, maps, and route planning is beneficial. - Good knowledge of traffic laws and road safety rules is essential. - Ability to handle long hours of driving and flexible work shifts is required. - Physically fit to manage loading/unloading tasks if needed. - Basic mechanical knowledge is an added advantage.
