Job Overview:
GD Goenka High School is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and visionary Headmistress to lead the Junior Wing (Foundation to Grade 5). The ideal candidate will be responsible for academic leadership, administration, staff management, and the holistic development of young learners. She must align with the schools mission and vision, uphold high academic standards, and foster a nurturing and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strong academic leadership to ensure high-quality teaching and learning in the Junior Wing
Plan and implement the curriculum in line with CBSE guidelines
Supervise daily school operations, including teacher management, student discipline, and parent communication
Lead teacher recruitment, orientation, training, and performance evaluation
Drive co-curricular and extra-curricular programs for the holistic development of students Develop and enforce school policies, procedures, and systems in alignment with institutional goals
Ensure safety, well-being, and inclusivity in all aspects of school life
Act as a mentor and role model for both students and staff
Collaborate with the school leadership and parent community for continuous improvement Qualifications and Experience:
Postgraduate degree with B.Ed. (or equivalent teaching qualification)
Minimum 10 years of experience in the education sector
At least 3–5 years of experience in a similar leadership/administrative role
Proven record of success in academic and operational leadership
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
