Head of Vertical Transportation Business (Lifts and Escalators)

Position : Head of Vertical Transportation Business (domains Lifts and Escalators) in South Asia - Gurgaon

Job profile

The role aims at gaining a full understanding of the Indian Vertical Transportation* (VT) market; promoting TV SDs local VT profile; generating sales; building relationships with customers and regulators; building up and leading professional teams in strategical locations in different states of India; and delivering the services in accordance with TV SD’s management guidelines and Quality Management System.

Strategy development

• Familiarize with the customer, competitor, authority, and regulation VT landscape in India
• Provide market input for updating and finetuning of the VT strategy for India

Business development and sales

• Elaborate a business development strategy to implement the growth strategy provided by the BU LCC and TV SD South Asia and to meet agreed sales targets
• Promote TV SD as a leading VT authority in India
• Create and identify sales leads through networking; proactive industry observation and research; and effective sales channels
• Effective customer relationship management; understand customers’ structure, needs and constraints
• Scale the business through continuous extension of customer base and customer retention
• Preparing sales presentations and sales materials in cooperation with the BU LCC and the marketing department
• Coordinate with TV SD’s global VT experts for joint customer presentations and visits
• Collaboration and coordination with other TV SD subsidiaries (e.g. Hungary, Middle East)
• Monitor upcoming events such as trade fairs, exhibitions and conferences and prepare and coordinate TV SD’s participation in coordination with the BU LCC and TV SD South Asia’s senior management

Operations and resources

• Ensure smooth and efficient operations in accordance with TV SD’s QMS and to the full satisfaction of customers
• P&L responsibility for TV SD’s VT activities in India
• Preparing regular progress reports
• Resources planning and management
• Recruitment, development and leading of further VT experts
• Ensure that the VT experts receive the necessary training for their individual roles and authorization levels and in accordance with their personal development plan
• Authorization management (internal) in accordance with TV SD’s QMS.

Required education

• Bachelor Engineering degree (electrical, mechanical)
• Master degree would be beneficial, in particular a business-oriented one (MBA)
