Head of Infrastructure and Operations

As the Head of Infrastructure and Operations, you will lead cloud engineering squads focusing on key core services including Kubernetes Hosting, Developer Tooling, Security, and Reliability. Your role will involve driving scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure on GCP and Azure to support modern application needs. You are expected to provide deep technical leadership, prioritize automation, and uphold operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: - Cloud Strategy & Execution: - Define and implement cloud strategy aligning with business goals. - Lead cloud migrations, hybrid cloud planning, and cloud-native architecture projects. - Evaluate and integrate emerging cloud technologies for business value and resilience. - Platform Engineering & Automation: - Supervise the development of scalable infrastructure using Terraform and DevOps best practices. - Drive Kubernetes adoption and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitLab). - Promote SRE and platform engineering to enhance reliability and developer experience. - Security, Compliance & Governance: - Integrate security controls into infrastructure design and operations. - Implement IAM, tagging, and governance policies across Azure AD & GCP IAM. - Lead audit responses and ensure compliance across cloud environments. - Operations & Cost Optimization: - Monitor cloud performance, availability, and costs. - Implement cost optimization strategies, capacity planning, and incident management. - Conduct root cause analysis and post-mortems for cloud-related issues. - Leadership & People Development: - Lead and nurture high-performing cloud, DevOps, and security squads. - Encourage technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement. - Mentor aspiring leaders and cultivate profound technical capabilities. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Extensive experience in infrastructure and cloud operations, with a focus on GCP and Azure. - Proven track record of leading successful cloud migrations and platform engineering initiatives. - Strong expertise in security, compliance, and governance in cloud environments. - Excellent leadership skills with the ability to develop and inspire technical teams.
