Job Description

Role Overview: As the Global Finance Leader at Stripe, you will be responsible for driving strategic vision, operational excellence, and innovation within the finance organization. You will lead a team of experts in Financial Reporting and Analysis, Finance Operations, Tax, and Accounting, shaping the future of finance at the company. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with senior management to define and execute the strategic vision of the Global Finance Center, aligning it with the overall organizational goals. - Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of subject matter experts and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. - Develop, implement, or improve processes and share best practices throughout the organization, reporting on process performance and providing/gathering service feedback. - Drive innovation initiatives by identifying emerging trends and technologies, and lead efforts to pilot, adopt, and integrate innovative solutions. - Facilitate cross-functional collaboration within the GFC and with other departments, promoting a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing. - Develop and monitor key performance metrics to measure the impact and effectiveness of the GFC's initiatives and activities, ensuring continuous improvement. - Establish quality control and assurance standards to maintain high-quality output from the GFC, with a strong focus on excellence and compliance. - Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote the GFC's mission and secure buy-in from key decision-makers. Qualifications Required: - Proven leadership experience with 18+ years building scaled organizations and leading world-class finance centers. - Passion for building teams, developing people, and creating a strong identity and culture. - Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth industry leveraging technology to scale with the business. - Advanced finance, accounting, and operations experience. - Knowledge of key business financial metrics, providing inputs to reporting venues, and communicating key performance indicators to stakeholders. - Proficiency in obtaining, organizing, and analyzing data for fact-based decision-making, root cause analysis, and evaluating outcomes. - Ability to set goals, financial plans, and effectively influence leaders. - Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math); MBA preferred. Additional Company Details: The approach at Stripe is to encourage in-person collaboration and learning from each other while supporting flexibility when possible. Office-assigned Stripes are expected to spend at least 50% of the time in their local office or with users, with variations based on role, team, and location. This balance supports the need for in-person interaction while allowing for flexibility in work arrangements.,
