As the English Department Coordinator at Isha Samskriti located in the serene Isha Yoga Centre, Coimbatore, you will play a crucial role in shaping the English learning experience for students. At Isha Samskriti, education goes beyond academics, encompassing art, yoga, Sanskrit, and culture to nurture confident and expressive individuals rooted in Indian heritage yet open to the world. Your primary responsibility will be to design an engaging English curriculum that resonates with the ethos of Isha Samskriti. You will lead and mentor a team of dedicated English teachers, infusing life into language learning through storytelling, drama, role plays, creative writing, and experiential activities. By bringing stories to life and integrating culture into language lessons, you will ensure that students learn English with values and context. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelors/Masters degree in English or Education, with preference given to those with qualifications like B.Ed, TEFL, or CELTA. A minimum of 4-5 years of school teaching experience coupled with curriculum design expertise is essential. Your ability to engage students through interactive teaching methods such as storytelling, theatre, and role plays, along with excellent written and spoken English skills, will be invaluable. Additionally, your leadership abilities and passion for holistic education will set you apart.
