Head Of Department BCA

Minimum 8 to 10 years of full-time teaching experience in Computer Applications or related programs in a recognized college/university.

  * Proven experience in academic leadership or administrative roles is preferred.

Additional Requirements

  * Familiarity with UGC, AICTE, and affiliating university academic and regulatory requirements.

  * Strong command over curriculum design, academic governance, and student engagement.

  * Excellent communication, coordination, and team management skills.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRA):

1. Academic Leadership & Department Management

   * Lead the BCA department ensuring adherence to AICTE and UGC guidelines.

   * Oversee daily academic and administrative functions of the department.

2. Curriculum Development & Implementation

* Plan, design, and implement the BCA curriculum aligned with AICTE and university standards.

   * Regularly update course content to meet industry and technological advancements.

3. Faculty Development & Supervision

   * Mentor and guide faculty members in teaching methodologies, research, and professional development.

   * Facilitate faculty recruitment, training, and performance reviews.

4. Student Mentorship & Engagement

   * Support students through mentoring, academic counseling, and career guidance.

   * Organize workshops, seminars, and industry interaction programs to enhance student employability.

5. Quality Assurance & Compliance

   * Ensure compliance with statutory bodies like AICTE and affiliating university for accreditations and audits.

   * Coordinate preparation for inspections, NAAC assessments, and quality audits.

6. Research & Development

   * Encourage faculty and students to engage in research projects, publications, and conferences.

   * Facilitate collaboration with industry and academic partners.

7. Liaison & Reporting

   * Act as a point of contact with university authorities, AICTE, and other regulatory bodies.

   * Prepare and submit periodic reports and documentation as required.
