Job Description

Role & responsibilities:-

1. Strategic HR Leadership & Manpower Planning

  • Lead overall HR strategy aligned with hospital goals and clinical excellence.
  • Ensure recruitment of adequate manpower at the right time and at the right place.
  • Conduct manpower planning in coordination with Department Heads and Hospital Management.
  • Supervise employee performance appraisal systems and ensure timely updates.
  • Formulate, implement, and periodically review HR policies and procedures.
  • Supervise exit management processes and monitor attrition trends.
  • Constitute and manage HR Committees and ensure effective implementation.

2. Talent Acquisition

  • Strategically recruit super-specialist doctors, oncology-trained nursing staff, and allied health professionals.
  • Build strong talent pipelines for critical clinical and support functions.
  • Use data-driven and technology-enabled recruitment approaches to improve hiring efficiency.

3. Governance, Compliance & Accreditation (NABH/JCI)

  • Ensure strict adherence to NABH/JCI standards, labor laws, and statutory compliance.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Department to develop and update department SOPs and manuals as per NABH requirements.
  • Develop and implement HR processes and protocols in line with accreditation standards.
  • Oversee statutory compliance related to labor laws and employment regulations.

4. Employee Relations & Welfare

  • Manage employee grievance handling and disciplinary actions as per policy.
  • Oversee medical benefits and welfare initiatives for employees.
  • Foster a transparent, fair, and employee-centric work environment.

5. Learning, Training & Development

  • Identify training needs across all employee categories.
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal and external training programs based on identified needs.
  • Engage with training consultants for specialized and clinical training programs.
  • Conduct pre- and post-training evaluations to measure training effectiveness.
  • Analyze training feedback and implement improvement actions.
  • Ensure employees are oriented towards service excellence and a patient-first culture.
  • Maintain centralized training records as per NABH standards.

6. HR Technology & Performance Analytics

  • Leverage HRIS and AI-driven analytics to optimize manpower planning, performance management, and decision-making.
  • Strengthen performance management systems using data and measurable outcomes.

Preferred candidate profile:

  • 14+ years of progressive HR leadership experience in a large hospital or healthcare organization (300+ beds).
  • Proven expertise in recruiting specialized clinical talent, especially in oncology.
  • Strong knowledge of NABH/JCI accreditation standards and Indian labor laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to build service excellence frameworks and reduce workforce burnout.
  • Tech-forward HR professional with hands-on experience in HRIS and HR analytics.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Mission-driven mindset with a passion for patient-centric healthcare.
