Head Design (Solar + BESS)

As a Proposal Engineer, you will play a crucial role in decision-making for the plant configuration of upcoming projects. Your responsibilities will include reviewing generation yield estimates, evaluating new technologies, and preparing optimal Bills of Materials (BOMs) for cost estimates. Additionally, you will be involved in retrofitting engineering for existing plants, conducting site evaluations, and engaging in tender engineering. Your role will also encompass providing module-related engineering support to procurement, generating solar-specific detailed tender documents, and reviewing and evaluating bids to prepare detailed engineering plans. It will be essential for you to conclude detailed engineering of awarded packages within the specified timeline, while efficiently planning and optimizing resources to meet project deadlines. Furthermore, you will be expected to motivate team members to deliver as per management directives, organize meetings with vendors/consultants to minimize delays, and possess a comprehensive understanding of AC/DC aspects of solar engineering. Value engineering, cost optimization, and keeping abreast of the latest technological trends will be critical aspects of your responsibilities. As an Engineering Manager, you will need to coordinate with all engineering functions to lead assigned projects effectively. This involves optimizing costs, implementing value-based engineering practices, keeping up with technological advancements, and ensuring design optimization. In situations where the team faces contingencies, you should be prepared to step in and provide hands-on support with basic engineering deliverables. Moreover, part of your role will involve training your team to multitask efficiently, ensuring they can adapt to changing requirements as needed.
