Position: Head – Design Engineering

Industry:

Key Requirements

Qualification:
BE / BTech – Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
Minimum
18–20 years
in customized machine / pharma machinery manufacturing
Team Handling:
Proven experience managing
large teams (up to 50 design engineers)

Mandatory Skills:

Robotics
SolidWorks
(hands-on expertise)

Job Responsibilities

Lead and review
design & development of new machine concepts
Prepare and review
2D & 3D drawings
for machines and components
Provide
machine and part costing support
Coordinate
customer visits
when required
Maintain records of design activities, drawings, and documentation with regular data backup
Guide and mentor the
design team and shop floor assembly team
, ensuring cross-functional coordination
Support
machine assembly, installation, and commissioning
Handle
reverse engineering inspections
as required
Support
qualification and validation activities
Ensure complete
documentation for new machines and projects
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by HOD

Technical Skills & Experience

Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
Hands-on exposure to:

Robotics, Servo systems, Pneumatics
Gear boxes, Actuators
GD&T
Sheet metal & fabrication
Timing belt & pulley systems
Sensors, Projection Method
Sprockets and Machining processes (Drilling, Tapping, Milling, Lathe)
