Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an HCC (Hierarchical Condition Category) Specialist located in Chennai. The HCC Specialist will be responsible for identifying and coding patient conditions to ensure accurate and compliant documentation for Medicare Advantage plans. Key tasks include reviewing medical records for HCC coding opportunities, addressing coding questions, and ensuring adherence to coding guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in HCC coding and auditing
• Knowledge of ICD-10 coding guidelines and risk adjustment methodologies
• Familiarity with medical record review and documentation
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Proficiency in healthcare software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare providers and coding teams
• Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field is an advantage
