Primary Skills: - Proficiency in Solid Edge wiring design and Solid Edge Electrical routing - Strong knowledge in the Wiring harness domain - Experience in harness design solutions within a CAD environment and adherence to internal design standards - Ability to select wires, terminals, and connectors for electrical devices - Understanding of electrical network analysis, product schematics, wiring diagrams, and their translation to wiring harness design - Application of drafting rules and principles (ASME Y14.5M) and development of company standards - Knowledge of harness manufacturing processes and engineering drawing development Secondary Skills: - Designing schematics and wiring diagrams using Solid Edge - Wiring design & electrical routing based on provided inputs - Developing 3D harness design routing using Solid Edge electrical routing - Flattening harness in a 3D environment and creating parametric drawings in Solid Edge Harness design - 3D modeling of Electrical components and drawing development - Preparation of Engineering documentation, bill of materials, and change notices - Completion of the release process on Windchill / team center PLM tool - Adherence to design and drafting standard practices - Independent support for Design Engineering projects and collaboration with other design engineers - Ability to work from engineering instructions, procedures, drawings, and sketches - Commitment to meeting Quality and delivery standards exceeding 95% At frog, we believe in Equal Opportunities and foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and collaboration. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) and Boeing Global Services (BGS) business organizations. A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with the Sr. Engineering Manager to deliver Engineering statements of work to meet the organizational goals. Position Responsibilities: Manages, develops, and motivates a team of electrical engineers to deliver engineering solutions in the electrical systems and wiring design and installation lifecycle. Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with customers, collaborators, peers, and direct reports Performs project planning for multiple projects, develops and administers budgets, schedules and performance standards Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving Acts as the initial point of escalation for issues or challenges encountered by the team. Experience in electrical loads analysis, electrical system design, harness routing and installation, functional and wiring integration testing and troubleshooting on the aircraft. Know-how of harness manufacturing. Detailed knowledge of aerospace engineering standards for design, testing & certification. Knowledge and understanding of technologies, policies and procedures related to engineering of defense related products. Past experience and demonstrated ability to manage aerospace product design & development and certification testing, laboratory and flight test facilities and relevant work-statements. Must have ability to accomplish results through effective collaboration working with all collaborators including colleagues in other parts of Boeing, and suppliers. Demonstrated engineering leadership experience in major organizations Ability to work well with virtual teams across multiple time-zones and cultures. Familiarity with MS Office tools. Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment. Typical Education & Experience: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electronics/Electrical/EEE/E&C/E&TC/Instrumentation Engineering with 13 to 16 years experience.
