Hardware Technician

Role Overview: As an IT Hardware Technician, your primary responsibility will be to install and configure hardware components such as desktops, laptops, printers, routers, and servers. You will diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues, perform routine maintenance to prevent failures, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Collaborating with IT teams for system integration and supporting network infrastructure will also be part of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Install and configure hardware components like desktops, laptops, printers, routers, and servers - Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues, including faulty components and connectivity problems - Perform routine maintenance on systems to prevent failures - Replace or upgrade parts such as RAM, hard drives, motherboards, and graphics cards - Document repairs and maintenance activities for tracking and reporting - Collaborate with IT teams to support system integration and network infrastructure - Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards Qualification Required: - Strong understanding of computer architecture and hardware components - Ability to read technical manuals and schematics - Problem-solving and analytical skills - Familiarity with operating systems and basic software troubleshooting - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities - Typically, a diploma or degree in computer science, electronics, or IT is required Additional Details: The work environment for this role may include offices, data centers, manufacturing units, or field service locations. It may involve lifting equipment, working in tight spaces, or traveling to client sites.
