ob Summary: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Halwai to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate should be proficient in preparing a wide variety of traditional Indian sweets (mithai) and snacks. This role requires strong knowledge of authentic Indian recipes, attention to hygiene, and consistency in taste and presentation. Experience in bulk preparation for events or commercial outlets will be an advantage. Key Responsibilities: Prepare a wide range of Indian sweets such as rasgulla, gulab jamun, jalebi, peda, barfi, laddoo, rasmalai, etc. Prepare savory snacks like samosa, kachori, namkeen, pakora, mathri, etc. Maintain consistent taste, texture, and quality across batches. Monitor proper usage of ingredients and ensure minimal wastage. Follow hygiene and safety standards as per FSSAI/HACCP guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sweets/snacks section. Coordinate with the main kitchen for event and daily production planning. Innovate or adapt recipes as per customer preferences or seasonal demand. Maintain inventory of raw materials (khoya, chhena, dry fruits, flour, etc.) and inform the chef of requirements. Ensure timely delivery of items during peak service hours or event catering. Qualifications and Skills: Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Halwai in hotels, catering units, or sweet shops. In-depth knowledge of traditional Indian sweets and snacks preparation. Ability to work under pressure and manage bulk production. Strong understanding of hygiene, food safety, and shelf-life of mithai. Creative mindset to develop festive or fusion sweets (preferred). Team player with good communication and time management skills.
