About the Role

Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements for

  Guidewire Workers’ Compensation modules

  and design detailed

  test plans and test cases

  .
• Perform

  functional, integration, regression, and system testing

  for Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter/BillingCenter/ClaimCenter).
• Validate

  Workers’ Compensation-specific scenarios

  – payroll-based premium calculations, classifications, injury codes, experience modifiers, audits, etc.
• Ensure

  end-to-end testing

  of policy lifecycle – new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, and audits.
• Collaborate with

  Business Analysts

  ,

  Developers

  , and

  Configuration teams

  to understand workflows and business rules.
• Execute manual and automated tests; log defects and track resolution through

  JIRA

  or other defect tracking tools.
• Work closely with

  integration teams

  to test external interfaces, web services (SOAP/REST APIs), and data exchange.
• Maintain

  test data

  , document results, and ensure traceability to requirements.
• Participate in

  Agile ceremonies

  – sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to

  test automation scripts

  using tools like

  Selenium, TestNG, UFT, or Guidewire Testing Framework (GUnit)

  .

Required Skills & Experience

• 6– 12 years

  of experience in software testing, with

  3+ years in Guidewire projects

  .
• Strong understanding of

  Guidewire PolicyCenter

  , and knowledge of

  Workers’ Compensation domain

  (class codes, payroll, premiums, injury types).
• Experience in

  manual and automated testing

  of Guidewire applications.
• Working knowledge of

  Guidewire Data Model

  ,

  Entities

  ,

  Policy Transactions

  , and

  Product Model

  .
• Familiarity with

  Guidewire Testing Framework (GUnit)

  or other automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with

  API testing

  tools (Postman, ReadyAPI, or SoapUI).
• Strong skills in

  defect management

  ,

  test planning

  , and

  test case documentation

  .
• Experience with

  JIRA

  ,

  Confluence

  ,

  ALM

  , or similar tools.
• Understanding of
