Group Lead, IT - Data Engineering Chapter

As a Group Lead, Data Engineering at Kraft Heinz Information Technology, your role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to develop high quality data/analytic products that generate insights from connected data. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise in data engineering, data architecture, data management, data quality, and data governance. Your key responsibilities will include: - Managing strategy and allocation of data engineering resources for cross-functional delivery teams within the region - Overseeing hiring governance for external and internal data engineer resources globally - Leading the design and development of technical training programs for data engineers - Establishing and enforcing best practices and controls for data engineering at scale - Conducting thorough code reviews to ensure solution consistency and accuracy across all teams - Architecting and building robust frameworks for data ingestion, processing, integration, and governance - Managing a pipeline of platform and framework improvements to enhance the efficiency and security of cloud analytics platforms - Developing and evaluating new technologies and tools for data engineering teams - Collaborating with software vendors to align their products with the organization's needs and drive innovation - Working closely with product owners, stakeholders, and executives to identify and mitigate potential data challenges Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Information Technology, or a related field (Master degree preferred) - 6+ years of experience in data engineering or architecture roles - Expertise in software development, including design patterns and framework development - Proficiency in core Python programming language, SQL development, and automated code testing - Experience with data warehousing solutions, major cloud computing services, and database technologies - Familiarity with BI tools, Linux operating system, and exposure to machine learning and data science Additionally, you should have domain expertise in building enterprise-level data solutions, experience with DevOps practices in the data domain, and proficiency in Agile methodologies. Your individual skills should include excellent communication, strong problem-solving abilities, and proven collaboration skills.
