Graduate Mechanical Engineer

As a Mechanical Designer, your role involves creating detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo. You will be responsible for developing, modifying, and managing complex mechanical designs to ensure accuracy in dimensions, tolerances, and material callouts. Additionally, you will perform basic engineering analysis like Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate designs for performance and durability. Your key responsibilities include: - Creating detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings using CAD software - Utilizing CAD for developing, modifying, and managing mechanical designs - Performing engineering analysis and simulations to validate designs - Collaborating with manufacturing and quality teams for prototyping and testing - Optimizing designs for cost-effectiveness and manufacturability - Maintaining comprehensive engineering documentation - Working closely with cross-functional teams for integration of mechanical components To qualify for this role, you need: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field - Proficiency in at least one major 3D CAD software package - Strong understanding of fundamental engineering principles - Expertise in reading, interpreting, and applying GD&T standards - Proven experience in mechanical design and product development - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred skills that would be beneficial include experience with PLM/PDM systems, knowledge of specific manufacturing processes, and expertise in value engineering and cost reduction initiatives.
