Graduate Instrumentation & Controls Designer - Water

As an Instrumentation & Controls designer at Stantec in Pune, India, your role will involve conducting and supporting the delivery of complete I&C basic and detailed design drawings and documentation associated with Water and Wastewater treatment projects. Your responsibilities will include: - Demonstrated experience in understanding P&ID diagrams, Instrumentation controls, ISA tags, symbols, electrical schematics, Instrument list, I/O Lists, and the ability to perform markups. - Drafting of Process and Instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). - Generating field instruments and PLC I/O lists from P&IDs. - Preparing cable schedule and cable route diagrams and conduit development. - Developing Instrument location plans and instrument installation details. - Designing and drafting Control System Architecture/Network diagrams. - Creating Control Panel, Server cabinet, Elevation drawings, and GA. - Preparing loop drawings, wiring diagrams, Interconnection, and control schematics diagrams. - Generating hookups and standard details diagrams/drawings. - Designing and drafting Electrical equipment layout and plans. - Updating Project website for the latest P&IDs database information. - Coordinating with Electrical/Civil/Mechanical/Process and other disciplines. - Communicating with global internal clients for input information and project status. - Maintaining a positive team and client-focused attitude directed towards delivering quality work on time. - Working well with others in a fast-changing environment. - Carrying out other duties as assigned from time to time by supervisor/management. Qualifications required for this role include: - Diploma in Instrumentation & control from a recognized college or university. - Knowledge or experience in the water industry or equivalent plant design industry experience such as Power, Building, and Oil & Gas, etc. - Proficiency in AutoCAD. - Experience working in a remote/virtual environment on software like Bentley MicroStation, Open Plant P&ID, Autodesk P&ID (Plant 3D), AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, BIM360, etc., will be an added advantage. - Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, Library symbols, and standard drawing creation will be an added advantage. - Familiarity with Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical layouts to prepare 2D ICA layout for cable routes. - Knowledge of field instrumentation, DCS/PLC systems, and applications. - Understanding of basic networking (Ethernet, ControlNet, Profibus, ProfiNet, Modbus, RS-485, etc.). - Knowledge of International standards like ISA, BS, IEC, NEC, UL, NEMA, etc. - Good verbal/written English communication skills, Presentation Skills, Learning Attitude, good grasping power, and the ability to be a good team member.
