Golang Developer

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Personal Lines Insurance Team, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performing applications using Golang, React, PostgreSQL, and Apigee. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect software solutions, ensuring adherence to design principles and industry best practices. Your role will also involve performing code reviews, writing unit and integration tests using Cypress, and contributing to continuous improvement of engineering processes and documentation. In this role, you will leverage AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT to enhance productivity and problem-solving. You will play a key part in guiding complex problem-solving within the delivery team and sharing technical feedback. Advocating for strong coding standards, contributing to architectural decisions, and implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and related tools will be essential aspects of your responsibilities. To excel in this position, you should have 3-8 years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Golang and React. Proficiency in modern development and cloud technologies such as Microservices, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Apigee, Terraform, Helm, Istio, Envoy, and Datadog is required. Strong experience in RESTful API development, PostgreSQL, database programming, SOLID principles, and design patterns is essential. Familiarity with security and performance testing techniques, Agile Scrum methodologies, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills are also necessary. Preferred qualifications include exposure to the insurance industry, hands-on experience in AI development and tools, and a passion for clean code, software craftsmanship, and mentoring team members.
