Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in assigned wards or departments.Assess, monitor, and record patients vital signs and health status.
• Administer medications and injections as prescribed by the physician.Assist doctors during medical procedures, examinations, and treatments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
• Support patients with daily living activities and provide emotional comfort.Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and post-care instructions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure effective patient management.Participate in training programs, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical audits.

• Education: Completed General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course from a recognized nursing school or institution. Licensure: Must be a Registered Nurse and Midwife (RN & RM) with a valid registration from the State Nursing Council.
• Experience: Minimum 15 years of clinical experience in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare setting. Experience in medical-surgical, ICU, emergency, pediatrics, or obstetrics & gynecology departments preferred.

• Core Nursing Skills: Proficient in patient assessment, monitoring, and documentation. Skilled in administering medications, injections, and IV therapies as prescribed. Ability to assist physicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures. Competent in wound care, catheterization, dressing changes, and vital signs monitoring. Knowledge of infection control protocols and hospital hygiene standards. Experience in handling medical equipment and maintaining sterile conditions. Proficient in emergency response procedures and basic life support (BLS) techniques.
• Capable of pre and post-operative patient care in surgical or recovery wards. Technical & Administrative Skills: Accurate record-keeping and patient data management. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and hospital information systems. Understanding of nursing audit procedures and quality assurance practices. Ability to follow clinical guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Interpersonal & Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Empathy, compassion, and patience in handling patients from diverse backgrounds. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Teamwork and collaboration within multidisciplinary healthcare settings. Emotional resilience and ability to work effectively under pressure.
